Old Business
Trail Report/Trail Work/Equipment/Signs
Pat Dashnier reported the ram for the dump truck has been rebuilt and the company that Bill Van Camp works for did the work and donated the parts and time so there is no cost to the club. The SNARS GPS Tracking systems have been installed and we are awaiting two plugs from Swiderski to hook up the two tractors. Informed all groomers that if they need to stop to remove a tree for more than 15 minutes that time will need to be logged separately. We will cover the new handling of paperwork before the start of the 2021 – 2022 Snowmobile Season.
Brat Fry Reschedule
No reschedule date has been determined at this time.
Trail Safety Program
Followed up on the discussion from prior meeting to reach out to Pat Mullarky if they are interested, also reinforced the Groomers could reach out as well.
By-Laws Update
Discussed if we should make the Membership Coordinator and Trail Boss Board Positions which would require them to be voted in. This will be tabled until we can schedule a Board Meeting to discuss all potential changes. This will be scheduled during Spring Break Up.
New Business
County Alliance Update – Brad Reabe reported the below
Reported that all clubs are in the same position for snowmobiles, just need snow.
Reported the Alliance recommended support of Andy Malecki and Dave Newman to be re-elected to their positions on the State AWSC.
SNARS
As previously discussed the equipment is in the groomers, Sur-Track is up and running the tractors are pending new plugs from Swiderski.
Snow Roller
Discussed we would look into a Snow Roller prior to the start of 2021 – 2022 season. We will review reimbursement costs for Roller vs. Panning. As a Board we will look into and review different options new and used.
Potential 50/50 Raffle
Brad Reabe brought up the possibility of having a couple 50/50 raffles in conjunction with the September Open House Raffle. There is minimal outlay in cash, primarily just the printing of the tickets and we could look into a business sponsoring the printing for their name to be on all of the tickets. We will look into regulations affecting our raffle license to see if we can have multiple raffles running at one time. Follow up at future meeting.
AWSC Elections
Discussed the AWSC Elections and the two individuals running opposed Any Malecki and Dave Newman. Reaffirmed the County Alliance discussion regarding Andy being in the Region and the support that draws for us and the experience of Dave Newman for continuity in this leadership position. Motion was made by Darryl Gardner to support Andy Malecki and Dave Newman for this election, second by Cheri Rickel, motion carried.
Correspondence
No Correspondence – Brad Reabe commented that the Facebook page has been very positive in reference to the condition of the trails. Brad Reabe congratulated Pat Dashnier and all the groomers for the great work they have done with the minimal snow we have.
Members Input
Jeff Thielen asked about placing donation boxes in the supporting businesses for the Groomers. Mike Desrosier commented that in the AWSC Guidebook it is pointed out that reimbursement or paying Groomers is not allowed. We will review both AWSC and WATVA guidelines to see how these types of programs are addressed by each of these organizations.
